SIMPA ENERGY INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED (SIMPA)
Simpa provides solar solutions (lighting, phone charging, TV, fans, power back up) with point of sales finance, to energy poor households and micro enterprises. The company acquires and serves customers in a cost-effective manner, using both direct sales and mass distribution through retail stores and dealers. Simpa has developed and deployed proprietary remote monitoring and smart panel control technology as well as prepaid metering to reduce transaction costs and mitigate risks. The customers of Simpa are daily wage earners, farmers and small commercial establishments.
Achieved
As on date, Simpa has installed cumulative 2.4 MW of systems benefitting 44,049 households and 220,245 people.
Growth Plan
Simpa plans to expand to 160 districts across 6 states mainly Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orrisa, West Bengal and Assam. Over the next 18 months the company intends to expand to 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, identified using a rigorous analysis framework drilled down further to block and village level.
